Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk<\/a>, delivered an emotional address to the nation Friday from a podium beside her husband\u2019s chair, where he once broadcast his daily show. Carried live by Fox<\/a>, the speech marked her first public remarks since Charlie\u2019s assassination and cast her as a rising leader vowing to carry on his mission.<\/p>\n

Speaking with a mixture of grief and resolve, Erika painted a picture of a man whose patriotism, faith, and love for family made him a target of hatred \u2014 but whose legacy, she said, will never die.<\/p>\n

She told the audience that her husband\u2019s deepest desire was simple:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHe wanted to be remembered for his courage and his faith.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cCharlie loved his children, and he loved me, with all his heart,\u201d Erika said, before adding, \u201cOur world is filled with evil \u2013 but our God is so incredibly good.\u201d<\/p>\n

She recalled her late husband\u2019s drive and resilience, telling the audience:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou only thought you had 5% left, but he knew you had 15.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Adding that one of his mottos was \u201cNever Surrender,\u201d she stated that their campus tours will continue.<\/p>\n

Faith, Family, and Mission<\/p>\n

Charlie\u2019s desire, Erika explained, was for young men and women to build families.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHe wanted everyone to bring heaven into this earth through love and joy that comes from raising a family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Charlie\u2019s favorite word, she revealed, was \u201cearn\u201d \u2014 a reflection of his commitment to hard work and responsibility. His favorite Bible verse was Ephesians 5:25: \u201cHusbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Erika urged Americans to \u201crevive the American family\u201d and \u201cbring heaven to this earth,\u201d saying her husband\u2019s voice would remain even in his absence.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThey killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of God\u2019s merciful love,\u201d she declared. \u201cYou have no idea what you have unleashed across this entire country. You have no idea the fire you have ignited within this wife.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A Widow\u2019s Battle Cry<\/p>\n

Erika promised that her grief would become a rallying cry for others:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThe cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry. The movement my husband has built will not die. I refuse to let that happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She later added:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cOur battle is not simply a political one, but above all, it is spiritual.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She told their three-year-old daughter that her father was simply \u201con a work trip with Jesus so he can afford her blueberry budget.\u201d And she closed with words that resonated deeply with her audience:<\/p>\n

\u201cCharlie, I promise I will never let your legacy die. I will make Turning Point USA the biggest thing this nation has ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

\u201cRest in the arms of our Lord \u2026 well done, good and faithful servant.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

\u201cGod bless you all, and may God bless America.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
