It went about as well for him as you would imagine.

Truth was there to tell Lesnar he wanted to defend his older brother, and Brock spent the entirety of the segment in a mix of confusion and laughter. I couldn’t tell if he was breaking or if they meant for him to react that way.

Either way, it was a hilarious segment and a fantastic use of an appearance from a guy who probably only has so many left himself. Truth said just enough to piss Lesnar off enough to give him an F-5 so powerful he ripped the back of his pants wide open.

To show just how good of a mood he was in, Lesnar danced in the ring shaking his ass in his blue underwear while Truth was writhing on the mat next to him. The entire scene was an exercise in absurdity, and I loved every second of it.

The main event of this week’s show was Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton going one-on-one, with the latter taking up for WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, his dear friend. Your standard main event fare, strong psychology considering who was involved, and because he’s heading for a title match in the very near future it was McIntyre who went over.

It took multiple Claymore Kicks and a near miss on the referee serving as a distraction, but that’s how he did it.

After, McIntyre set up at the announce table like he was going to take Orton out the same way he did Rhodes but he never got the chance. Instead, Cody made his return to send him the hell out of the ring with an awesome Cody Cutter.

The credits rolled as Rhodes made official they’ll wrestle for his title at Wrestlepalooza. They didn’t lean much into any big story beat here, instead playing it straight up and letting the return act as the juice.

When John Cena isn’t available for a show but you still have Brock Lesnar booked to build to…

[9
171,67,132,68,188,121244,2202
0":"post-223449","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-entertainment","8":"tag-entertainment","9":"tag-united-states","10":"tag-unitedstates","11":"tag-us","12":"tag-wwe","13":"tag-wwe-smackdown-results-reactions","14":"tag-wwe-smackdown
["GET
