Leon Jordan died in a car crash at South Sacramento Boulevard and West Arthington Street in Lawndale, Chicago on Friday, officials said.<\/p>\n

CHICAGO (WLS) — A man died in a West Side crash on Friday afternoon, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

Police said the crash happened just before 2 p.m. in Lawndale. Chopper 7 was over the scene at South Sacramento Boulevard and West Arthington Street.<\/p>\n

Police said a 42-year-old woman was driving a Chevrolet sedan southbound on Sacramento Boulevard when she hit a Nissan SUV, driven by a 55-year-old man.<\/p>\n

The man was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as Leon Jordan.<\/p>\n

CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.<\/p>\n

Authorities did not immediately provide further information.<\/p>\n
