In <strong data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"476\">August 2025<\/strong>, Dallas logged a <strong data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"526\">crime score 9.4 times higher<\/strong> than Downtown Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"789\">Despite only a modest difference in population \u2014 15,000 in Downtown Dallas versus approximately 10,000 in Downtown Fort Worth \u2014 the scale of crime disparity continues to suggest a deeper failure in policy and policing strategy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"825\">According to MCBA\u2019s August report:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"899\"><strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"855\">Theft\/Larceny offenses<\/strong>: 23 times more in Dallas than in Fort Worth<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"902\" data-end=\"936\"><strong data-start=\"902\" data-end=\"922\">Assault offenses<\/strong>: 6 times more<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"982\"><strong data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"967\">Drug\/Narcotic violations<\/strong>: 17 times more<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1024\"><strong data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1009\">Motor vehicle thefts<\/strong>: 17 times more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1257\">\u201cThe data speaks for itself \u2014 Dallas is still trying to manage crime, while Fort Worth is focused on preventing it,\u201d said MCBA Chief Operating Officer Julie Strum. \u201cWhen you\u2019re seeing 23 times more thefts and 17 times more car thefts in one city center compared to another, it\u2019s not just a blip \u2014 it\u2019s a breakdown in strategy. Fort Worth is showing that a consistent, visible police presence and strong civic coordination work.
