North County Transit District announced that Jeffery Wymer, who has served as the agency\u2019s senior systems engineer and cybersecurity manager over the last three years, to director of information technology.<\/p>\n
Wymer will be responsible for overseeing NCTD\u2019s IT infrastructure and operations, according to an NCTD announcement.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m incredibly excited to take on this role and continue accelerating NCTD\u2019s journey forward through resilient and innovative technology,\u201d Wymer said in a statement. \u201cI am committed to empowering our team and delivering a seamless experience for every rider.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to an NCTD news release, Wymer previously spent 18 years working in technology for the San Bernardino County Superior Court. He earned his Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification in June 2024. In his time with NCTD, he helped with the agency\u2019s procurement of dedicated cybersecurity insurance and assisted with a Federal Transit Administration Triennial Audit and Transportation Security Administration Cybersecurity Review.<\/p>\n
