This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you’re a developer and would like your app featured, get in contact.

If you’re an avid Apple Watch fan (or use another fitness tracker that syncs to Apple Health), you’ll find SUMRY incredibly useful. It allows you to pull multiple Apple Health workouts together, and it creates comprehensive summaries that tell a story about your activity.

Top features

SUMRY works with Apple HealthKit, so you don’t have to worry about any manual data entry or anything – the app fetches all of it for you.

There are two methods to creating these fitness summaries: either by selecting your desired workouts, or by selecting a time period. The former is nice if you specifically want insights on one type of workout, whereas the latter works for a broader picture.

With these summaries, you can get a broad overview of how many calories you burned, how many steps you took, how many miles you biked, and so on. It’ll also give you a breakdown of how many times you did each type workout and for how long – giving you a detailed overview of your fitness.

The summaries also display how many times you closed your rings, and provides a nice looking map view that overlays where exactly you did all of your workouts. Let’s say you did a nice outdoor run, combined with some biking. You’ll get a nice overview of that.

Download the app

SUMRY is available for free on the App Store for iOS 17.6 and later, and the app actually provides all of the essentials without paying – including unlimited summaries. If you want an ad-free experience, additional filters, and more features like comparisons and folders – you can pay for SUMRY+, which’ll run you $0.99/month or $8.99/year.

There’s also a one-time purchase option for $14.99 if you’d like to avoid subscriptions.

Pre-order the latest Apple products on Amazon:

Follow Michael: X/Twitter, Bluesky, Instagram

FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links. More.

Welcome to Indie App Spotlight.
