{"id":224643,"date":"2025-09-13T22:29:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-13T22:29:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/224643\/"},"modified":"2025-09-13T22:29:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-13T22:29:10","slug":"children-of-nascar-competitors-excited-to-sing-national-anthem-ahead-of-bristol-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/224643\/","title":{"rendered":"Children of NASCAR competitors excited to sing national anthem ahead of Bristol race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BRISTOL, Tenn. \u2014 It is one of the moments that makes the Bristol night race a special event on the NASCAR calendar.<\/p>\n<p>It is the national anthem by the children of drivers and crew members, a long-time tradition.<\/p>\n<p>For a brief moment, drivers and competitors are merely proud parents watching their child or children sing the anthem before one of NASCAR\u2019s most prestigious races. The anthem for tonight\u2019s race is scheduled for 7:17 p.m. ET. USA Network has the pre-race and race coverage.<\/p>\n<p>Chase Briscoe said he can\u2019t wait to watch 3-year-old son Brooks sing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s been all about it all week,\u201d Briscoe told NBC Sports. \u201cHe actually had baseball practice (Thursday). At the end of practice, he stood in the dugout and sang the national anthem in front of all of his teammates. Maybe two words were right. He somehow starts saying \u2018the crowd is still sleeping\u2019 in parts of it. It\u2019s pretty phenomenal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going actually put a mic on him I think, just so I can how far off it really is. But he thinks he\u2019s nailing it. I\u2019m excited for him to do that. He\u2019s fired up about it. They do a lot for us and she loves it, so she\u2019s excited.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Hunter Nemechek, who performed in the children\u2019s choir when he was younger, will watch his children perform tonight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s definitely pictures of me floating around out there of doing it and wearing the MRO t-shirt,\u201d Nemechek told NBC Sports. \u201cMy girls got to do it last year for the first time. That was a really special moment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s kind of a moment where life has come full circle.
