And in her years as an adaptive rower, it&#8217;s also the place where she&#8217;s discovered confidence in the heat of competition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m just like everybody else just with a small difference,&#8221; Eshelman   said. &#8220;Yes, it does affect me, but it doesn&#8217;t stop me from doing what I want to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Eschelman says she deals with what is the equivalent of a trans metatarsal amputation, meaning she&#8217;s missing the front half of her right foot.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/pic-12.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"Philadelphia adaptive rower powers to victory, finds strength in 42nd annual Bayada Regatta \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                CBS News Philadelphia<\/p>\n<p>She says adaptive rowing, which is a form of the sport for people with physical and intellectual disabilities, has helped her in so many ways.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s impacted my life because I never thought of it as a disability.
