Fire EMS first Responder (KPRC2\/Click2Houston.com)<\/p>\n

A police officer was injured after being involved in a car wreck with a city vehicle in southwest Houston.<\/p>\n

The three-vehicle was reported to HFD officials at 5:55 p.m. Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The collision happened at 2699 Fondren Road, near the intersection with Westheimer Road.<\/p>\n

The officer was trapped inside the police vehicle. Right as rescue crews arrived to help, the officer managed to free himself from the car.<\/p>\n

The officer was transported to Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center. Their condition is not known at this time.<\/p>\n
