It\u2019s been a busy time at Dallas ISD, and you can catch up on the latest below.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Dallas ISD District 2 Monthly Update:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Dallas ISD\u2019s school academic rating soared, earning the district an 83 (B) in a more rigorous accountability system than in previous years.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">70% of Dallas ISD schools are now rated A or B.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Dallas ISD <a href=\"https:\/\/go.boarddocs.com\/tx\/disd\/Board.nsf\/files\/DKFJQ94E4069\/$file\/2025-08%20STAAR%20Results%20and%20Student%20Outcome%20Goals%201-4.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>exceed the state<\/b><\/a><b>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Students classified as emergent bilingual in Dallas ISD <a href=\"https:\/\/go.boarddocs.com\/tx\/disd\/Board.nsf\/files\/DKFJQ94E4069\/$file\/2025-08%20STAAR%20Results%20and%20Student%20Outcome%20Goals%201-4.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>exceed the state<\/b><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Black students in Dallas ISD <a href=\"https:\/\/go.boarddocs.com\/tx\/disd\/Board.nsf\/files\/DKFJQ94E4069\/$file\/2025-08%20STAAR%20Results%20and%20Student%20Outcome%20Goals%201-4.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>meet or exceed the state<\/b><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thehub.dallasisd.org\/2025\/08\/26\/four-dallas-isd-high-schools-earn-top-10-ranking-in-texas-2\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>18 of the top 100 schools in Texas are in Dallas ISD, including the top 3 schools in the state according to U.S. News &amp; World Report.<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thehub.dallasisd.org\/2025\/08\/14\/staar-data-shows-significant-growth-worth-celebrating-district-earns-b-rating\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Reduced the number of F-rated campuses from 24 to 2<\/b>.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">These results didn\u2019t happen by accident; they happened by design. Some of the elements that are making this achievement possible include:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Teacher salaries average nearly $7,000 more than those in surrounding districts.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Retention of Dallas ISD teachers is 2.3% above the state average.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Dallas ISD had more than 99.4% of positions filled on the first day of school, the highest in a decade.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">The student-to-counselor ratio has been reduced to 270:1.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">More mental health clinicians have been added, ensuring every high school has a full-time clinician.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Dallas ISD earned a AAA bond rating from the Kroll Rating Agency thanks to effective financial stewardship.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/url.usb.m.mimecastprotect.com\/s\/lQmmC1Vo9MtMMl15WcOFYtVbCwv?domain=kd6rttfbb.cc.rs6.net\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Dallas ISD Police Department earned state accreditation<\/b><\/a>, placing the department at the top in the state and strengthening safety efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Dallas ISD Bond Construction Update<\/b>: Across the district, campus upgrades funded by the proceeds from the 2020 Bond continue, with more information found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bond.dallasisd.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Bond website<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bond.dallasisd.org\/popup\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Bond pop-up meetings<\/b><\/a><b>:<\/b> Dallas ISD is exploring a potential next school bond, and there are still opportunities to attend.
