Jamie Lloyd is directing the Samuel Beckett classic, a reunion for the Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure stars.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0new revival of Samuel Beckett<\/a>‘s absurdist masterpiece\u00a0Waiting for Godot<\/a> begins at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre September 13, with opening night set for September 28. The limited engagement is scheduled to continue through January 4, 2026.<\/p>\n

Directed by Jamie Lloyd<\/a> (Sunset Bouelvard), the revival reunites Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure stars Keanu Reeves<\/a> and Alex Winter<\/a> as Estragon and Vladimir, respectively. The cast also includes Michael Patrick Thornton<\/a> as Lucky, Brandon J. Dirden<\/a> as Pozzo, and Zaynn Arora<\/a> and Eric Williams<\/a> as A Boy. Understudies Jesse Aaronson and Franklin Bongjio<\/a> round out the company. Casting is by Jim Carnahan<\/a> and Liz Fraser<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The production marks Reeves’ Broadway debut. Winter previously appeared on Broadway as a child, playing John Darling in the 1979 Sandy Duncan-led Peter Pan.<\/p>\n

Premiering in 1953, Waiting for Godot centers on two men waiting for the titular Godot, engaging in a number of discussions in the meantime. The work has become a theatrical classic. On Broadway alone, this staging is\u00a0the play’s fifth.<\/p>\n

The revival features set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour<\/a>, lighting design by Jon Clark<\/a>, sound design by Ben and Max Ringham<\/a>, and hair and makeup design by Cheryl Thomas. The production stage manager is Johnny Milani<\/a>, and Veronica Lee<\/a> is the stage manager. The associate creative team includes associate director Conner Wilson<\/a>; associate scenic designers Grace Laubacher<\/a>, Lily Tomasic<\/a>, and Wilson Chin<\/a>; co-associate costume designers Ricky Lurie<\/a> and Jess Gersz<\/a>; associate lighting designer Jessica Creager<\/a>; and associate sound designer Christopher Cronin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Jamie Lloyd Company<\/a>, ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live<\/a>, and Gavin Kalin Productions<\/a> are producing. 101 Productions, Ltd’s Chris Morey is general manager.<\/p>\n
