Philip Zinckernagel scored his 13th goal of the season in the first half, to increase his total contributions to 26 during the 2025 MLS regular season.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago struck in the 13th minute when Brian Gutierrez intercepted a pass in the midfield and carried the ball forward. He slipped a pass to Zinckernagel on the right and the Danish winger took one touch forward before sending it just inside the far post.<\/p>\n<p>New York leveled the score in the 40th minute with a goal from Nicolas Fernandez and pulled ahead in the 57th minute with a goal from Alonso Martinez.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NEXT MATCH:<\/strong> Chicago heads to the land of 10,000 lakes to face Western Conference foe Minnesota United FC. The match on Saturday, Sept. 20 is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and transmitted locally on <a href=\"http:\/\/wlsam.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wlsam.com<\/a> (English) and Que Buena Fire via the Uforia App (Spanish). A replay of the match will be available at 7:00 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 22 on Marquee Sports Network.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Center back Joel Waterman started his first match as a member of the Men in Red after returning from international duty with the Canada Men\u2019s National Team. He becomes the 15th player to make his Fire debut in 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Philip Zinckernagel tallied his 13th goal of the season Saturday. His combined 13 goals and 13 assists in 2025 place him second in goal contributions for a Fire player in a single season.
