{"id":225438,"date":"2025-09-14T05:54:20","date_gmt":"2025-09-14T05:54:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/225438\/"},"modified":"2025-09-14T05:54:20","modified_gmt":"2025-09-14T05:54:20","slug":"black-rock-coffee-goes-public-valuation-soars-after-ipo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/225438\/","title":{"rendered":"Black Rock Coffee goes public, valuation soars after IPO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 Scottsdale-based Black Rock Coffee Bar made its debut as a public company on Friday, and share prices surged 38% after the IPO.<\/p>\n<p>The coffee chain initially priced shares at $20, but <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/BRCB\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">shares closed at $27.53<\/a> and climbed as high as $29.50 on the first day of trading. Black Rock now has a market value of about $1.32 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In the initial public offering, $294.1 million was raised after <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.br.coffee\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/black-rock-coffee-bar-announces-launch-initial-public-offering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">about 14.7 million shares<\/a> were initially sold for the company, which is trading under the ticker symbol \u201cBRCB\u201d on the Nasdaq Global Market.<\/p>\n<p>The IPO price was <a href=\"https:\/\/ir.br.coffee\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/black-rock-coffee-bar-announces-launch-initial-public-offering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">expected<\/a> to be in the $16.00 to $18.00 per share range.<\/p>\n<p>The coffee bar was originally founded in Beaverton, Oregon in 2008 as a single drive-thru location. The company has been headquartered in Scottsdale since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Black Rock now has more than 150 locations in seven different states. Forty-six of its locations are located in the Valley with two more slated to open <a href=\"https:\/\/ktar.com\/arizona-restaurant-news\/black-rock-coffee-bar-new\/5738184\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">later this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The exact addresses and opening dates have yet to be released.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to its Scottsdale headquarters, the company also has a roasting facility in Tempe and Vancouver, Washington.<\/p>\n<p>Black Rock reported $179 million in store revenue for the 12-month period ending June 30.
