{"id":225569,"date":"2025-09-14T07:10:32","date_gmt":"2025-09-14T07:10:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/225569\/"},"modified":"2025-09-14T07:10:32","modified_gmt":"2025-09-14T07:10:32","slug":"san-antonio-awards-e-z-bel-construction-evans-road-corridor-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/225569\/","title":{"rendered":"San Antonio awards E-Z Bel Construction Evans Road Corridor Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tDuring the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saspeakup.com\/DC53558\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sept. 11<\/a> meeting, the San Antonio City Council approved an ordinance awarding E-Z Bel Construction LLC the contract for the Stone Oak-area Evans Road Corridor Project for the total amount of $1.447 million.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Long story short<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to city documents, the Evans Road Corridor Project will stretch from Peacemaker to Barbara Bush Middle School.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The project includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two new traffic signals<\/li>\n<li>Asphalt mill<\/li>\n<li>Overlay work<\/li>\n<li>Flatwork, such as sidewalks, curb ramps and driveway approaches<\/li>\n<li>A signalized pedestrian crossing<\/li>\n<li>Median modifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Construction is estimated to begin this fall and be completed by summer 2027.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The background<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project is part of the $5 million <a href=\"https:\/\/publicinput.com\/n6617\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">District 9 Traffic and Mobility Improvements project<\/a> and was approved by voters on May 7, 2022, according to city documents.<\/p>\n<p>According to city documents, E-Z Bel Construction was one of three bids and was the lowest bid that also met minimum requirements.
