This is their third year in Glendale, after a partnership with the Glendale Arts Commission.

“Some of the greatest stories ever told will be encapsulated in one evening, providing an eclectic mix of performances that everyone can enjoy,” said Chris Taylor, arts and culture administrator with the Glendale Arts Commission.

The event will take place at Sahuaro Ranch Historic Park in Glendale. Dancers will perform a number of critically acclaimed dances and performances live starting at 7 p.m.

Pre-show entertainment and vendors offering food and cold beverages will be available starting at 5 p.m., and guests are encouraged to show up early with lawn chairs and blankets to maximize their comfort.

Pre-show festivities will include community booths, outdoor games, live music and more.

Guests can bring their own food and beverage as well, but no glass or alcohol.

According to Taylor, anyone, even if they have never been to a ballet show before, is encouraged to attend.

“I think Ballet Arizona does a great job of incorporating at least one show into their rotation that people are familiar with, so that if you’ve never seen a story told through ballet, this is a great opportunity,” he said.

For instance, Taylor said they opened last year with “Swan Lake,” and previous years with “Romeo and Juliet.”

Ballet Under the Stars is one of two big events that the Glendale Arts Commission sponsors throughout the year. The other is the Downtown Glendale Arts and Culture Fest, the next of which is set for January 2026.

Taylor also said that they’re “looking to sponsor a third event,” but planning is still in the works.

“We’re still deliberating on what that event would be,” he said.

Taylor said the Glendale Arts Commission takes pride in being able to host ballet with Glendale Under the Stars.

“We’re always thrilled to associate with Ballet Arizona. We’re very proud of our partnership and what Ballet Arizona does for our community,” Taylor said.

Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers had high praise for the event as well, and he encouraged people to show up.

“Ballet Under the Stars is a fun, family-friendly event,” he said. “And the best part is that it’s free for our community. As the summer heat breaks, there’s no better time to enjoy this world-class performance right here in Glendale. I strongly encourage everyone to come experience it.”

Ballet Under the Stars

WHEN: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25

WHERE: Sahuaro Ranch Historic Park, 9802 59th Avenue, Glendale

COST: Free

INFO: glendaleaz.gov/News/Whats-New/Ballet-Under-the-Stars

The city of Glendale will once again be hosting Ballet Under the Stars, a free, family-friendly ballet event…

[5131
5229,5643,1587,122109,122108,122112,122110,1589,122111,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-225717","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-phoenix","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-arizona","10":"tag-az","11":"tag-ballet-arizona","12":"tag-ballet-under-the-stars","13":"tag-downtown-glendale-arts-and-culture-fest","14":"tag-glendale-arts-commission","15":"tag-phoenix","16":"tag-sahuaro-ranch-historic-park","17":"tag-united-states","18":"tag-united-states-of-america","19":"tag-unitedstates","20":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","21":"tag-us","22":"tag-usa
["GET
