Police said an altercation between two groups of teens turned deadly at the the parking garage of the Shops at Rivercenter.<\/p>\n
SAN ANTONIO \u2014 San Antonio police said a person was killed after gunfire erupted on the top floor of a downtown parking garage early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
According to SAPD, officers were dispatched around 1:20 a.m. for reports of a shooting at the Shops at Rivercenter parking garage located on East Commerce Street.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, an 18-year-old male, was also found with a gunshot wound and was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, according to officials.<\/p>\n
Investigators said it appears the victims were with a larger group on the rooftop of the parking garage when the suspects arrived and an altercation between the two groups broke out.<\/p>\n
One of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and police said there was a fight over the weapon, causing it to go off. Both victims and one suspect were struck, according to investigators.<\/p>\n
The injured 16-year-old suspect was treated by EMS on scene for a graze wound, police said. A firearm was recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n
According to officials, multiple teen individuals were detained on scene and are currently being uncooperative with the investigation. Police have not made any official arrests at this time.<\/p>\n
