Nine players on that roster made it to the NBA, with one of them being <a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/nba\/players\/abec099d\/karl-anthony-towns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karl-Anthony Towns<\/a>, who was just <a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/nba\/washington-wizards\/john-wall-inducted-university-kentucky-hall-fame\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inducted into the Kentucky Hall of Fame<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Towns was able to give a Hall of Fame speech, and he gave a shout-out to the people who helped him through his journey while at the school. He also showed love to his late mom and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threads.com\/@trysta_krick\/post\/DOjSbj3Dwjm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared a heartfelt message<\/a> remembering her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy mom obviously couldn\u2019t be here today, she\u2019s preparing my next home \u2026 thank you to whole UK Athletics and Hall of Fame committee for showing my mom the one thing we can all agree on: momma knows best,\u201d Towns said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/nba\/minnesota-timberwolves\/timberwolves-news-minnesota-heartfelt-gesture-to-honor-karl-anthony-towns-mom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Towns&#8217; mom passed in 2020<\/a> to COVID-19 complications, but he has continued to keep her legacy alive wherever he goes.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Knicks center was one of the six inductees in Kentucky&#8217;s 2025 Hall of Fame class, as he joined Abbey Cheek-Ramsey (softball), Makayla Epps (women\u2019s basketball), Doug Flynn (baseball\/men\u2019s basketball\/broadcaster), Sonia Hahn (women\u2019s tennis), and Josh Hines-Allen (football).<\/p>\n<p>When Towns was with Kentucky, he was the second-leading scorer, leading rebounder, and shot blocker, an All-SEC first-team selection, and a consensus second-team All-American.
