The Navy has confirmed the Trump Administration has cancelled plans for a military air and sea show in San Diego.<\/p>\n
According to planning documents, a large scale event had been in the works for sometime in November, and was to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Navy and Marines. President Trump was expected to attend.<\/p>\n
An advance team from the White House made two visits to San Diego reports the U\/T, and hoped the show would draw about 100-thousand people to the waterfront.<\/p>\n
However, things changed last week, when the Trump Administration announced San Diego was no longer a “preferred site” for the show.<\/p>\n
No reason was given, but there was concern San Diego International Airport would have to shut down for a few hours on a couple of days for the event.<\/p>\n
