Escape Virtual Reality is open in Somerdale NJ on the White Horse Pike, offering the latest high tech VR experience to bring you into new immersive worlds\u2026 You\u2019re not just playing a video game, you\u2019re in the video game!<\/p>\n

I stopped in today and played a game that took me to the Wild West as a gunslinger.\u00a0 Absolutely amazing to be fully surrounded in 360\u00b0 by the game\u2026 dodging and hiding, with incredible graphics and realism.<\/p>\n

\"\"Each player has their own 10\u00d710 \u201cbooth\u201d room<\/p>\n

I also found out that a very popular Virtual Reality game style right now is \u201cEscape Room\u201d!\u00a0 Yes, you and friends can all be logged in with your own virtual reality headsets and controllers, and placed into a variety of escape room experiences where you have to work together to solve the clues\u2026 and Escape!<\/p>\n

Escape Virtual reality is located on the White Horse Pike at Evergreen Avenue in the shopping center that most know is home to South Jersey Billiards.<\/p>\n

This is a relocation from their prior Cherry Hill address, bringing a whole new universe of fun to the White Horse Pike communities.<\/p>\n

You enter Escape Virtual Reality in the front foyer and host stand area, where you pick from dozens of game options\u2026 which could be played individually or as a connected group of players.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the space is broken up into nine large VR booths (10\u00d710) where each player has their own dedicated play area, a connected VR goggles set\u2026 and you will be handed your set of hand controllers, one for each hand.<\/p>\n

\"\"Gunslinger \u2013 Wild West Game is 360 of fun!<\/p>\n

While I popped in by myself and played the Wild West game, as I was leaving a group of four people showed up and it was cool to see them all within their own VR space, but playing within the same world!<\/p>\n

If you play as a group your headset microphones are linked, so that you can all talk to each other within the game. If you choose a signature \u201cescape room\u201d experience you\u2019re going to need to communicate to solve the puzzles.<\/p>\n

The headsets move with your head so that the Virtual World moves in unison\u2026 as you turn your head to look around, the virtual world moves in perfect synch. It\u2019s seamless, and very soon you forget its not real.<\/p>\n

The hand controllers are a big part of the experience also as their full position is tracked in the game.. you\u2019ll be able to reach out and grab things, or aim your laser at the bag guys (who could be your friends playing in the next booth!)<\/p>\n

Right now they are featuring 33 games and new games arrive regularly\u2026 from challenging escape rooms, science fiction experiences, scary adventures that will have you scream\u2026 to family friendly adventures. <\/p>\n

You can check the website<\/a> for the current game selection, and it appears each game page has a YouTube teaser video of gameplay.<\/p>\n

Walk-ins are allowed but booking online is suggested. Timeslots are one hour with standard game time of 50 minutes. Right now all slots are showing as $37.90 per person.<\/p>\n

There is also a small lounge area in the back, and you can book a private event from birthday parties, team building.. or just come in for a fun date night.<\/p>\n
