{"id":22898,"date":"2025-06-28T22:13:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-28T22:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/22898\/"},"modified":"2025-06-28T22:13:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-28T22:13:10","slug":"ahmad-goree-named-chief-of-staff-for-dallas-city-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/22898\/","title":{"rendered":"Ahmad Goree named chief of staff for Dallas city manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dallas City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert has announced that Ahmad Goree has been named as her chief of staff, effective Monday, June 30.<\/p>\n<p>Goree brings with him to the City Manager\u2019s Office more than 15 years of service and experience in public administration, strategic leadership and community engagement. He most recently served as the assistant director of program management \u00a0and communications at the U.S. Small Business Administration, based in the Dallas-Fort Worth District.<\/p>\n<p>In this national role, Goree advised the SBA administrator (a cabinet-level position), the deputy administrator and senior agency leaders on field operations, performance, risk management and external partnerships. He led engagement efforts across the country with elected officials, national and local organizations, educational institutions and government agencies, strengthening SBA\u2019s brand and expanding its outreach impact.<\/p>\n<p>He also worked closely with all SBA program offices to align messaging and improve agency communications nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Goree is \u201cwidely recognized for his results-driven leadership and dedication to public service,\u201d Tolbert said in a press release announcing his appointment. \u201cHe has led cross-functional teams, designed high-impact outreach strategies and advised senior officials on policy, communications and organizational effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the COVID-19 pandemic, his leadership was vital in connecting businesses across the Dallas region to critical federal resources,\u201d the press release continued. \u201cHis work included oversight of marketing and community engagement across 72 Texas counties, supporting more than 900,000 small businesses and reaching more 2 million residents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Goree holds a master of liberal arts, political science degree from Dallas Baptist University and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Urban Planning and Public Policy at University of Texas at Arlington. He is a dedicated mentor to emerging public sector professionals and is known for fostering a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture, the press release said.<\/p>\n<p>As Tolbert\u2019s chief of staff, Goree will provide direct support to the city manager in advancing city council priorities and working closely with the executive leadership team.
