For those looking for recommendations, cast members have revealed their must-visit restaurant in the Windy City, including well-known fine dining establishments and laid-back cafes for quick bites after filming. <\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a collection of the cast&#8217;s favorites across the city. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Ayo Edebiri<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ayo Edebiri called local soul food restaurant Ohh Wee It Is \u201csome of the best food of my life,\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C12Y0WrPCoT\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">during her acceptance speech<\/a> for Best Television Female Actor for a Musical\/Comedy at the Golden Globes last year. She visited the local restaurant with co-star Lionel Boyce, she added.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jeremy Allen White<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jeremy Allen White said Bavette&#8217;s Bar &amp; Boeuf, one of Chicago\u2019s most popular steakhouses, and La Scarola, a local Italian institution, are his top two restaurants in Chicago <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@deuxmoi\/video\/7474772820187237663?embed_source=121374463%2C121468991%2C121439635%2C121433650%2C121404359%2C121497414%2C73319237%2C121477481%2C121351166%2C121487028%2C73456720%2C73347566%2C121331973%2C120811592%2C120810756%2C121503376%3Bnull%3Bembed_masking&amp;refer=embed&amp;referer_url=www.nbcchicago.com%2Fnews%2Flocal%2Fthe-bear-star-jeremy-allen-white-reveals-his-2-favorite-chicago-restaurants%2F3681625%2F&amp;referer_video_id=7474772820187237663\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Award carpet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Allen White has also been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C4vykAKPbku\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spotted dining at Birrieria Zaragoza<\/a>, a family-owned restaurant rumored to be a frequent stop among the cast.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matty Matheson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Echoing his co-star\u2019s endorsement of Bavette\u2019s Bar &amp; Boeuf, Matty Matheson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esquire.com\/food-drink\/restaurants\/a61059411\/matty-matheson-the-bear-chicago-restaurants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Esquire<\/a> that the \u201cshellfish tower with an extra pound of crab, with a side of fries and green salad, is maybe one of my last meals for real.\u201d Matheson added that their roast chicken and mash is \u201cfully banana town.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to hot dogs, Matty Matheson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esquire.com\/food-drink\/restaurants\/a61059411\/matty-matheson-the-bear-chicago-restaurants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Esquire<\/a> that his top joint in all of Chicagoland is Gene and Jude\u2019s in River Grove, adding that he always gets his dog with an orange pop and extra salt on the fries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ebon Moss-Bachrach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ebon Moss-Bachrach joined Matheson at Shaw&#8217;s Crab House, a well-known Chicago seafood eatery. The restaurant congratulated the cast following their third season, sharing photos of the actors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C8xtO64M02g\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in an Instagram post.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We absolutely loved having you at Shaw&#8217;s throughout filming and especially serving up The Whole King Crab Experience,&#8221; the caption read. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Lionel Boyce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/2025\/06\/25\/the-bear-interview-lionel-boyce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">To the Chicago Tribune,<\/a> Lionel Boyce also praised Shaw&#8217;s Crab House, recommending the buffalo shrimp. <\/p>\n<p>In the interview, Boyce also mentioned Kasama, a Filipino bakery and restaurant in East Ukrainian Village. He highlighted their breakfast sandwiches and pastries. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They have that crazy line, but sometimes it\u2019s worth it,&#8221; Boyce told the Tribune. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sharing her favorite post-filming food spot in Chicago, Liza Col\u00f3n-Zayas <a href=\"https:\/\/chicago.suntimes.com\/la-voz\/2024\/05\/15\/liza-colon-zayas-connects-with-her-inner-child-in-john-krasinski-film-if\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Chicago Sun-Times<\/a> she frequently orders from Ponce Restaurant\u00a0in Hermosa. Specifically she praised the restaurant&#8217;s pasteles, traditional Puerto Rican tamales made with pork.  <\/p>\n<p>Fans are unlikely to see Col\u00f3n-Zayas at the restaurant, though.
