Oh, he\u2019s asleep again, just like he slept through most of the days of his criminal trial,\u201d he continued, referencing Trump\u2019s historic criminal trial<\/a> in April 2024, where he appeared to nod off in court multiple times.<\/p>\n Gartner cited involuntarily falling asleep at inappropriate times as an early sign of dementia. <\/p>\n \u201cI just wanna point out, this isn\u2019t normal,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n They then turned to Trump\u2019s physical health, which has become a growing source of concern.<\/p>\n After weeks of speculation over the president\u2019s swollen ankles, the White House admitted in July he had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where blood pools in the legs due to malfunctioning valves.<\/p>\n Segal, however, suggested a more dire cause. <\/p>\n \u201cCongestive heart failure is what typically causes swelling, you know, largely swollen ankles,\u201d said Segal, a psychology professor at Cornell University. \u201cI think he\u2019s not, I mean, he\u2019s not doing well,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n The two men also slammed the White House\u2019s explanation for bruising on the president\u2019s hands, which have consistently been slathered in heavy makeup.<\/a> Officials have attributed the bruising to frequent \u201chandshaking\u201d and aspirin use. <\/p>\n Gartner pushed back, noting that bruises have been sighted on both hands.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re obviously hiding the more serious problem,\u201d he said. \u201cHe\u2019s probably getting some kind of IV fluids.\u201d<\/p>\n They also scrutinized a moment during a Pentagon event commemorating the 9\/11 attacks, when Trump appeared with visible drooping on the right side of his face\u2014setting off a wave of speculation that he may have suffered a stroke.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you see someone with half their face drooping like that, that\u2019s not just someone being tired, that\u2019s not a normal face,\u201d Segal said. \u201cIt\u2019s significant,\u201d he insisted. \u201cAnd that\u2019s why I\u2019m showing it, not just to make fun of him or to joke.\u201d<\/p>\n In response, the White House shared a statement from MAGA loyalist and disgraced doctor Rep.
