Dallas police arrested three people and seized a variety of drugs and multiple firearms during an early morning traffic stop on September 6, the department announced on September 15.<\/p>\n
The North Central Division officers recovered<\/a> 9.4 grams of fentanyl, 7.4 grams of methamphetamine, and 2 grams of cocaine from the vehicle.<\/strong><\/p>\n Officers initiated the traffic stop around 3 a.m. September 6 in the 13600 block<\/a> of the North Central Expressway service road. They discovered<\/a> two of the three occupants had outstanding warrants<\/strong> during the investigation.<\/p>\n Police also found an AR-style pistol and two handguns<\/strong> in the vehicle. All three weapons were confiscated as evidence.<\/p>\n Kendrick Mathis<\/strong>, 46, faces the most serious charges. He was arrested on two counts of first-degree felony drug manufacturing and delivery for the fentanyl and methamphetamine.<\/p>\n Mathis also faces a second-degree felony charge for cocaine possession with intent to deliver. Authorities charged him with unlicensed weapon carrying with a felony conviction, another second-degree felony. His bond was set at $275,000.<\/p>\n Alexis Berry<\/strong>, 23, was arrested on outstanding theft warrants. Angely Flores,<\/strong> 18, was taken into custody for existing larceny warrants.<\/p>\n \u201cProactive policing gets criminals and their guns and drugs off the streets, and keeps Dallas safe,\u201d<\/strong> said Major Pollyanna Ashford, North Central Patrol commander.<\/p>\n The arrests highlight increased patrols in areas with elevated drug activity. Officers use targeted enforcement to identify vehicles and individuals involved in criminal enterprises.<\/p>\n The investigation continues under case numbers 128801-2025 and 128916-2025.
