Kathy Hochul has nominated Linda Scott,\u00a0most recently the managing director\/associate corporate secretary at JPMorgan Chase for 11 years, to sit on the state\u2019s ethics watchdog panel, her office announced today.<\/p>\n As a nominee to the Commission on Ethics in Lobbying in Government, the public will have seven business days to provide comments on Scott and then she will be presented to the Independent Review Committee, which is composed of the deans of New York\u2019s law schools, to review her qualifications.<\/p>\n 3.\u00a0Prosecutors say they’ll ask U.S. Supreme Court to restore conviction in Etan Patz missing child case<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n New York City prosecutors say they will ask the U.S. Supreme Court to restore a murder conviction in the 1979 disappearance of 6-year-old Etan Patz after an\u00a0appeals court overturned the verdict\u00a0in July.<\/p>\n The Manhattan district attorney\u2019s made the disclosure in a court filing Sunday asking the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to hold off on enforcing its decision in the case of Pedro Hernandez. The former convenience store clerk became a suspect over 30 years after the first grader vanished.<\/p>\n 4.\u00a0Rangers and Red Wings Hall of Fame goaltender Ed Giacomin dies at age 86<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n Ed Giacomin, a Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender and one of the faces of the New York Rangers’ franchise in the 1960s and ’70s, has died. He was 86.<\/p>\n Giacomin died of natural causes, a Rangers spokesperson said after the organization learned of the news from his family.
