Last week, the Nets announced the date for their annual \u201cPractice in the Park,\u201d which the team hosts every year before kicking off a new regular season. The community and fan-focused event will take place on Saturday, September 27th, starting at 12 p.m. EST.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">For a second straight year, PITP will call Potomac Playground in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn home. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netsdaily.com\/2024\/10\/14\/24269297\/good-time-practice-in-the-park-brings-vibes-and-cheers-for-brooklyn-nets\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Last year\u2019s event;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Last year\u2019s event <\/a>featured a musical performance from Jadakiss, drills, jersey giveaways, and an influencer dunk contest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Roughly 2,500 attendees showed up last year. PITP drew as many as 8,000 back in 2022 at Brooklyn Bridge when Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were part of the cast.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIt\u2019s definitely good to be out being in Brooklyn, experiencing the open practice with the fans and stuff, so I always look forward to it every year,\u201d Cam Thomas said of the event last year. \u201cIt\u2019s good to be back outside with the fans and feeling the energy, so it\u2019s good so far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Along with their open practice, the team this year promises a scrimmage between Gersh<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and Zone 6, two local street ball teams. That\u2019ll be followed by another influencer game sponsored by Type.Set.Brooklyn., a new digital media brand recently launched through BSE Global.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The dunk contest will return after that along with a 3-point competition. There will also be a \u201cBrooklyn Basketball combine,\u201d which will invite the fans to participate in a series of skill stations focused on shooting, dribbling, vertical jump and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Food trucks featuring local cuisines will be stationed around the affair. The Nets will also include a \u201cVendor Village,\u201d where fans get everything from a trading card photo, to a tooth gem, to a haircut.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Nets encourage fans to follow the team on Instagram for updates should the weather pose a threat to the event.
