{"id":230892,"date":"2025-09-16T08:18:23","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T08:18:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/230892\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T08:18:23","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T08:18:23","slug":"lone-survivor-of-east-vancouver-triple-stabbing-dies-in-hospital-bc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/230892\/","title":{"rendered":"Lone survivor of East Vancouver triple stabbing dies in hospital &#8211; BC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The lone survivor of a <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/triple-stabbing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">triple stabbing<\/a> in East Vancouver on Sept. 5 has now died.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Vancouver police said Jinfeng Guan, 50, died on Thursday in hospital where she had been receiving treatment since the <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/11400080\/suspect-arrested-in-east-van-double-homicide-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stabbing that left Jianghui Deng, 55, and Chunxiu Yin, 54, deceased.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Police were called to an apartment building near Vanness Avenue and Spencer Street in the Joyce-Collingwood area around 2 p.m. on Sept. 5 for reports of a stabbing.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/national.jpg\" alt=\"Get the day's top news, political, economic, and current affairs headlines, delivered to your inbox once a day.\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tGet daily National news<\/p>\n<p>Get the day&#8217;s top news, political, economic, and current affairs headlines, delivered to your inbox once a day.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, police found a 50-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Officers then located Deng and Yin and a man with non-life-threatening injuries at a nearby building on Joyce Street and Vanness Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\tTrending Now\n\t<\/p>\n<p>Police later identified the injured man as a suspect in the double, now triple, homicide.<\/p>\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Viet Quy John Ly, 54, is currently charged with two counts of\u00a0second-degree murder in the deaths of Deng and Yin, and police said they have notified Crown counsel of Guan\u2019s death and are in the process of submitting evidence for consideration of additional charges.<\/p>\n<p>Ly remains in custody.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\tMore on Crime<br \/>\n\t\t\tMore videos\n\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The lone survivor of a triple stabbing in East Vancouver on Sept. 5 has now died.
