She passed peacefully in her sleep in her home with her son and daughter-in-law at her side. She was effectively 101 years of age. Her immediate family was with her last few days memorable. Married twice, William P. Abbott and then to her wonderful husband and mate, Stephen Farrell on 2/1970 until his passing in 2017. My mother, Chiquita, was strong, dynamic both in her real estate profession as well as a great mother, who inspired not only me but those around her. She effectively could have been considered to be “Ms. Del Mar” by those who knew her well. She was full of life and loved by all of the wonderful people she worked with and met for over 50 years. As far as I am concerned, she truly broke the “glass ceiling” in so many ways. At one time she had over 19 employees, most women professional real estate agents from the ’70s-’90s and beyond. She is survived by her son, Nick and daughter-in-law, Michelle, and stepson Zackary, in addition to nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by her amily and extended “Del Mar” family.

A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.

Chiquita Abbott Farrell OBITUARY Chiquita Abbott Farrell (Keet), born 9/7/1924 in Lincoln, Illinois and passed 9/5/2025 in Solana…

[5134
5229,1582,276,3549,7264,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-230987","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-diego","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-ca","10":"tag-california","11":"tag-san-diego","12":"tag-sandiego","13":"tag-united-states","14":"tag-united-states-of-america","15":"tag-unitedstates","16":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","17":"tag-us","18":"tag-usa
["GET
