{"id":231403,"date":"2025-09-16T13:05:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T13:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/231403\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T13:05:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T13:05:08","slug":"charlie-kirk-murder-investigation-new-details-emerge-surrounding-suspect-tyler-robinson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/231403\/","title":{"rendered":"Charlie Kirk murder investigation: New details emerge surrounding suspect Tyler Robinson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Utah County Attorney\u2019s Office told Fox News that it\u2019s \u201coptimistic\u201d charges will be filed Tuesday against Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the murder of conservative activist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/media\/charlie-kirk\" target=\"_blank\" data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_live-news_article_main-content_image_utah-prosecutors-say-tyler-robinson-arraignment-potentially-today_0_article-link_1\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlie Kirk.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/who-tyler-robinson-what-we-know-about-charlie-kirk-suspected-assassin\" target=\"_blank\" data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_live-news_article_main-content_image_utah-prosecutors-say-tyler-robinson-arraignment-potentially-today_0_article-link_2\" rel=\"noopener\">Robinson, from Washington, Utah,<\/a> was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail last Friday, where he is being held without bail.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old was detained on suspicion of aggravated murder, obstruction of justice and felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cUnder Utah law, aggravated murder carries a penalty of either death, life in prison without the possibility of parole, or twenty-five years to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Obstruction of justice carries a penalty of one to fifteen years in prison. Felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury carries a penalty of five years to life in prison,\u201d read a statement from Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Gray said he anticipates filing formal charges against Robinson by 2 p.m. ET Tuesday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Given the very early stages of this investigation, and the fact that the investigation is ongoing, we cannot comment on the specific charges that we will file. However, we do anticipate that those charges will likely be consistent with the preliminary charges that supported Mr. Robinson\u2019s booking into jail,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cAlthough we will make every effort to meet that schedule, we may need additional time to prepare the charges. By court rule, we may extend the time to file charges by up to three days, or until Friday, September 19,\u201d Gray also said. \u201cOur ability to file charges depends on how quickly we can gather and carefully review mountains of evidence.
