PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A stretch of a busy central Phoenix road is closed early Tuesday morning after a deadly single-vehicle crash.<\/p>\n

Phoenix police responded to the crash around 2 a.m. on McDowell Road near Central Avenue<\/a>. The impact caused severe damage to the vehicle and destroyed a palm tree. <\/p>\n

McDowell Road was closed from Central to 3rd Street as crews worked to clear the crash. It has now reopened in both directions. <\/p>\n

The cause of this crash remains under investigation. The driver has not yet been publicly identified. <\/p>\n
