The Champions League<\/a> returns tonight with 36 teams aiming to progress past the league phase into the knockout rounds. It\u2019s the most prestigious club tournament in the world and is viewed as the pinnacle by players. PSG<\/a> will be determined to retain their crown after winning the trophy for the first time in their history last season, but they\u2019ll be challenged by the biggest clubs in the world.<\/p>\n

Arsenal<\/a>, Liverpool<\/a>, Barcelona<\/a> and Real Madrid<\/a> all hold realistic ambitions of lifting the famous trophy with nine of the top ten most valuable clubs in the world participating. Moreover, 49 of the top 50 most valuable players will feature in the Champions League – Manchester United\u2019s<\/a> Benjamin Sesko<\/a> ranks 49th. Therefore, we\u2019ve compiled the most valuable combined XI from players in the Champions League this season.<\/p>\n

\nThe most valuable Champions League combined XI<\/p>\n

The combined XI would have an eye-watering total valuation of \u20ac1.36 billion with Lamine Yamal<\/a> the most valuable player in the world at \u20ac200m. The Barcelona wonderkid would form a devastating front line with Erling Haaland<\/a> and Kylian Mbapp\u00e9<\/a> – both valued at \u20ac180m. Two Real Madrid midfielders feature in Jude Bellingham<\/a> and Federico Valverde<\/a>, alongside Barcelona\u2019s Pedri to make it a LaLiga trio.<\/p>\n
