However, he\u2019s a long way behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegolfinggazette.com\/tag\/patrick-reed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reed<\/a> after two rounds.<\/p>\n<p>He is the biggest star on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegolfinggazette.com\/tag\/liv-golf\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LIV Golf<\/a> and received huge support at Maridoe during the first two rounds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegolfinggazette.com\/news\/bryson-dechambeau-confirms-when-his-liv-golf-contract-expires-and-drops-hint-over-his-future\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DeChambeau\u2019s contract with LIV expires next year<\/a>, but the good news for fans of the Saudi-backed outfit is that he seemingly has plans to extend his current deal.<\/p>\n<p>The two-time major champion has actually experienced a tough run of form of late. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegolfinggazette.com\/news\/bryson-dechambeau-and-justin-rose-both-post-messages-on-social-media-after-missing-the-cut-at-the-us-open\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DeChambeau missed the cut at the US Open<\/a> two weeks ago, and he definitely hasn\u2019t had his \u2018A\u2019 game during the first two rounds in Dallas this week.<\/p>\n<p>Bryson DeChambeau says if he can catch Patrick Reed at LIV Dallas<\/p>\n<p>DeChambeau will have to play out of his skin on Sunday in Dallas if he is to catch Reed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2222655201-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"LIV Golf Dallas - Day Two\" \/>Photo by Sam Hodde\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>He will probably need \u2018Captain America\u2019 to come back to him a little bit as well.<\/p>\n<p>After his second round at Maridoe on Friday, DeChambeau was asked if he believed he can still catch his fellow countryman at LIV Dallas, despite the nine-shot deficit.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cThere\u2019s no doubt it\u2019s possible. Look, this round could have been five or six-under pretty easily, it just didn\u2019t go my way. The wind is diabolical and I just don\u2019t have it under control, and it keeps kicking my butt. Even though I live here, I just cannot figure it out, so I\u2019ve got to do something about it and hopefully we\u2019ll have answers here soon, but I\u2019m working really hard. My team is doing pretty well, Paul played really well, super proud of him.
