Shia LeBeouf once threatened to burst into his \u201cmentor\u201d Jon Voight\u2019s house and beat the veteran actor up for supporting President Trump \u2014 and then proceeded to cut him out of his life for years.<\/p>\n
LeBeouf, 39, made the shocking revelations Monday in the documentary \u201cMegadoc,\u201d<\/a> which explores the 2024 Francis Ford Coppola box-office flop \u201cMegalopolis\u201d<\/a> that he starred in alongside 86-year-old Oscar winner.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had a big fight on the phone where I told him I was going to come to his house, and we were going to fist fight, and I hung up the phone,\u201d LaBeouf revealed in the documentary.<\/p>\n \u201cDidn\u2019t talk to him for years.\u201d<\/p>\n That blow-out happened around 2016 when Trump first won the presidency \u2014 and came after more than a decade of Voight mentoring LeBeouf from child actor into an A-list Hollywood star.<\/p>\n Actor\u00a0Shia LaBeouf\u00a0opened up about reconciling with his \u201cMegalopolis\u201d co-star Jon Voight over Voight\u2019s conservative politics during an interview Monday about the making of the movie. Getty Images<\/p>\n The pair first met around 2003 on the set of \u201cHoles,\u201d and then worked again on the 2007 blockbuster \u201cTransformers\u201d movie.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was like my mentor from a young age,\u201d LaBeouf said, recalling how Voight made a point of taking him under his wing and showing him the industry ropes. \u201cHe was like the first real actor I ever met.\u201d<\/p>\n During Trump\u2019s presidency, LaBeouf revealed he threatened Voight over politics before cutting him out of his life.
