SAN ANTONIO \u2014 The city of San Antonio has completed the installation of a new crosswalk on the southeast side, following the tragic death of Jeanette Espitia. <\/p>\n

The crosswalk is located at the intersection of South East Military and Old Corpus Christi Highway. <\/p>\n

Espitia, who was 8-months-pregnant, was killed at the site after being struck by a driver. According to police, she had just stepped off a city bus and was crossing the street with her 1-year-old child when the incident occurred. <\/p>\n

Police said Espitia heroically pushed her little girl out of harm’s way to prevent her from being hit.
