Democratic state Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie is expected to endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor, sources confirmed to NY1.<\/p>\n

Although Heastie was conspicuously absent from a Bronx County Democratic Party endorsement rally for Mamdani earlier this month, he\u2019s expected to lend his support today.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Trump admin is in ‘denial’ about American history, Congressional Black Caucus chair says<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Rep. Yvette Clarke, chair of the influential Congressional Black Caucus, says President Donald Trump is trying to \u201cwhitewash\u201d American history.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Spectrum News NY1, the Democratic Brooklyn congresswoman criticized the president for taking issue with exhibits at national parks and museums about slavery and other seismic events in United States history that portray the country in a negative light.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Trump administration, she said, is in \u201cdenial\u201d about the \u201caccurate\u201d history of the U.S.<\/p>\n
