JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Timucuan Parks Foundation is asking volunteers for the annual International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 20.<\/p>\n

The nonprofit will lead three cleanups at Kathryn Abbey Park, Fort Caroline National Memorial, and Reddie Point Preserve. <\/p>\n

The meeting times will be staggered for the tides to be low enough to clean up as much as possible.<\/p>\n

The Kathryn Abbey Park at 500 Wonderwood Drive cleanup will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Participants must tell the gate attendant they are there for the cleanup to gain free entry to the park.<\/p>\n

The Fort Caroline National Memorial cleanup will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers should meet at the visitor\u2019s center, where park rangers will lead you down to the shoreline.<\/p>\n

The Reddie Point Preserve cleanup will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and volunteers should meet at the pavilion by the pier.<\/p>\n

Helpers should wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. A hat, sunscreen, and bug spray are recommended. Volunteers are also asked to bring work gloves and a reusable water bottle. TPF will provide disposable gloves, trash bags, grabbers, water and snacks.<\/p>\n
