Crowe will be taking on the role of headliner in seven cities for appearances behind his new memoir, \u201cThe Uncool,\u201d joined by guests who will participate in conversation with the journalist-turned-director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe first show will be on Oct. 29, the day after the book hits stores. On that date, at Washington, D.C.\u2019s Warner Theatre, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/jake-tapper\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jake-tapper\" data-tag=\"jake-tapper\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jake Tapper<\/a> will be Crowe\u2019s guest for the evening. The following night, on Oct. 30 in Nashville at the CMA Theatre, it will be an evening of counting crows \u2014 so to speak \u2014 as Crowe is joined by local hero <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/sheryl-crow\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sheryl-crow\" data-tag=\"sheryl-crow\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sheryl Crow<\/a>. The other confirmed guest so far is <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/kate-hudson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kate-hudson\" data-tag=\"kate-hudson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kate Hudson<\/a>, one of the stars of his film \u201cAlmost Famous,\u201d who will sit with Crowe on his home turf, appearing at the Magnolia in the greater San Diego area on Nov. 13.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNights where no guest has been announced yet are Chicago\u2019s Athenaeum Center, on Nov. 1; Seattle\u2019s Benaroya Hall, Nov. 19; Hollywood\u2019s Montalban, for two nights, Nov. 20-21; and San Francisco\u2019s Orpheum, for the final night of the tour on Nov. 23. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve always loved telling the stories behind the stories,\u201d Crowe said in a statement. \u201cIntroducing friends and loved ones to the unforgettable characters and adventures that inspired my journalism and movies has always been a passion. Now coinciding with the 25th anniversary of \u2018Almost Famous\u2019 and the release of \u2018The Uncool,\u2019 I can\u2019t wait to share those intimate stories and evenings with the audiences who\u2019ve followed my work over the years. It\u2019s not only a privilege, it\u2019ll be a blast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLive Nation is promoting the tour. The first presale, designated as \u201ca Cameron Crowe presale,\u201d starts Thursday at  10 a.m. local time, with additional presales to follow. The general on-sale will begin this Friday at 10 a.m. local, via LiveNation.com.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe Uncool\u201d is the first of two books that will look back on Crowe\u2019s beginnings as a music journalist. He explained the split in a statement to the Associated Press. \u201cI spent the last decade or so re-interviewing those early subjects like (David) Bowie\u00a0and\u00a0Fleetwood Mac,\u00a0Joni Mitchell\u00a0and\u00a0Led Zeppelin,\u201d he said. \u201cThe act of looking back on their younger selves brought out the same in me. The book split into two, the first one being a personal memoir.
