{"id":235329,"date":"2025-09-18T02:47:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T02:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/235329\/"},"modified":"2025-09-18T02:47:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T02:47:15","slug":"dallas-unveils-new-diabetes-hypertension-surveillance-systems-nbc-5-dallas-fort-worth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/235329\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas unveils new diabetes, hypertension surveillance systems \u2013 NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dallas County Health and Human Services Department (DCHHS) is partnering with Parkland Health Center for Clinical Innovation (PCCI) to launch new online tools to help Dallas residents better understand diabetes and hypertension.<\/p>\n<p>PCCI dashboards for the partnership&#8217;s Diabetes and Hypertension Surveillance Systems <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallascounty.org\/departments\/dchhs\/public-health\/chronic-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">can be found on the county health department&#8217;s webpage<\/a> and make available quick access to reliable data to inform community health strategies and research.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe launch of our new diabetes and hypertension surveillance systems represents a major milestone in strengthening our public health response,\u201d said Dr. Philip Huang, director of the Dallas County Health Department. \u201cBy combining clinical data with social and demographic information, we can better identify at-risk populations, guide policy, and ensure that prevention and treatment efforts reach those who need them most.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The systems that surveil the data sources provide insight indicators and are connected to ZIP codes.
