{"id":235333,"date":"2025-09-18T02:49:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T02:49:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/235333\/"},"modified":"2025-09-18T02:49:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T02:49:09","slug":"flights-at-san-diego-airport-grounded-due-to-plane-emergency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/235333\/","title":{"rendered":"Flights at San Diego airport grounded due to plane emergency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A private airplane\u2019s nose gear collapsed on a runway at San Diego International Airport causing delays and diverting flights for travelers on Wednesday night, according to officials.<\/p>\n<p>The call was reported around 6:40 p.m. and caused a ground stop after a plane reported difficulty with its landing gear, the Federal Aviation Administration and airport officials reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe aircraft came to a stop without any injuries to those on board, however, it became disabled on the runway, causing the runway\u2019s temporary closure,\u201d airport officials said in a statement. \u201cAll inbound flights are currently being diverted to other airports. We have no further details at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The airport\u2019s flight status tool on its website was not working Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Departure delays averaged over an hour and a half, and arrival delays were averaging about 40 minutes, FlightAware reported.
