{"id":236144,"date":"2025-09-18T10:35:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T10:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/236144\/"},"modified":"2025-09-18T10:35:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T10:35:11","slug":"prince-st-the-nyc-pizza-joint-replacing-fireside-pies-in-dallas-sets-opening-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/236144\/","title":{"rendered":"Prince St., the NYC pizza joint replacing Fireside Pies in Dallas, sets opening date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/03\/03\/prince-street-pizza-opening-dallas-henderson-fireside-pies\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/03\/03\/prince-street-pizza-opening-dallas-henderson-fireside-pies\/\">Texas\u2019 first Prince St. Pizza<\/a> is expected to open on Dallas\u2019 Henderson Avenue in mid-October 2025, the New York City-born company confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The restaurant will replace <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2024\/08\/29\/fireside-pies-closed-for-good-dallas-grapevine\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2024\/08\/29\/fireside-pies-closed-for-good-dallas-grapevine\/\">Dallas\u2019 original Fireside Pies<\/a>, a catalyst on Knox-Henderson that helped the neighborhood became a dining destination some 20 years ago. Fireside Pies closed in late 2023, and Prince St. Pizza CEO Lawrence Longo took the lease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">He sees opportunity in this area of East Dallas for late-night loyalty. Henderson Avenue has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/07\/10\/hendys-open-dallas-henderson-avenue-food-drink\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/07\/10\/hendys-open-dallas-henderson-avenue-food-drink\/\">turned into more of a bar district<\/a> in recent years, and Prince St. is a grab-a-slice place for passersby. (Whole pizzas are also available.) The restaurant will be open til midnight most days, and until 3 or 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, a spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Much of the fervor over Prince St. has come from social media as it\u2019s grown from New York City to about 16 locations from Las Vegas to Miami. The Dallas restaurant is expected to open in October 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Ira Edelman<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Dallasites who haven\u2019t eaten at Prince St. yet should picture a \u201cgood old-fashioned New York slice joint,\u201d as the CEO explains it. The thing to get is the Spicy Spring, made with pepperoni and fra diavolo sauce. Another popular one is The Naughty, a pizza with spicy vodka sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, hot honey and pepperoni.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The signature pizzas are square, with a focaccia-style crust, and served by the slice. The restaurant also sells circular Neapolitan-style pizzas, which have a thinner crust, and \u201cGrandma\u201d-style pies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Slices will cost $5.50 to $7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">After the Dallas restaurant opens, Longo said he plans to open two more in Dallas-Fort Worth. Locations aren\u2019t set yet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cTime will tell,\u201d he said. \u201cIt really depends on how much you like the brand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Prince St. Pizza is at 2820 N Henderson Ave., Dallas.
