That\u2019s how people viewed the Hokies\u2019 home, Lane Stadium, during those times. No one wanted to come to Lane Stadium and play Virginia Tech, particularly under the lights on a Thursday night. <\/p>\n
Boy, times have changed. We don\u2019t need to go over Tech\u2019s home record in recent years, but it’s not a home-field advantage anymore. They can\u2019t blame the fans. Or Metallica. The fans continue to support the team, regardless of their performance. <\/p>\n
Apparently, EA Sports has taken notice. In their recent ranking of the 25 toughest places to play in college football, Lane Stadium was noticeably absent. <\/p>\n
In no way is Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh a more difficult place to play, but N.C. State has had a better program over the past decade. So, it\u2019s difficult to find fault with EA Sports\u2019 rankings for the extremely popular video game, which will be available in less than two weeks. <\/p>\n
It\u2019s sad if you\u2019re a fan of the Hokies. EA Sports gave everyone a glimpse of “Enter Sandman” for the game. <\/p>\n
That\u2019s pretty impressive. Two things are guaranteed: Enter Sandman remains the best entrance in college sports, and Hokie Nation will always do their part. <\/p>\n
