{"id":237729,"date":"2025-09-19T01:21:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T01:21:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/237729\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T01:21:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T01:21:11","slug":"bella-hadid-hospitalized-for-lyme-disease-after-countless-setbacks-mom-yolanda-says-in-tribute-to-warrior-model-daughter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/237729\/","title":{"rendered":"Bella Hadid hospitalized for Lyme disease after &#8216;countless setbacks,&#8217; mom Yolanda says in tribute to &#8216;warrior&#8217; model daughter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bella Hadid was recently hospitalized amid her struggle with Lyme disease, her mother, Yolanda, revealed in an Instagram post in which she called her \u201ccourageous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In an <a data-i13n=\"cpos:1;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DOvsOBqjFjH\/?img_index=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Instagram post;cpos:1;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Instagram post<\/a> shared on Thursday, Yolanda, a former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, reflected on how \u201cwatching my Bella struggle in silence\u201d has fostered \u201cthe deepest core of hopelessness\u201d within her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease is hard to explain or understand for anyone,\u201d Yolanda wrote. \u201cI try to lead by example on our Lyme journey, but my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer. \u2026 Hopefully soon I will share whatever we have learned and the places we have been with you and our Lyme community as soon as lab results reflect our victory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Yolanda, who is also mom to Gigi Hadid, went on to address Bella directly, calling her \u201crelentless and courageous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI admire your bravery and your willingness to keep fighting for health despite the failing protocols and countless setbacks you have faced,\u201d she continued. \u201cYou didn\u2019t really live, you learned how to exist inside the jail of your own paralyzed brain. I am so proud of the fighter that you are. You are not alone, I promise to have your back every step of the way, no matter how long this takes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Yolanda, a Dutch former model, commended her daughter for fighting through another month of treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI pray for your speedy recovery my love,\u201d she added. \u201cYou are a survivor \u2026 I love you so much my badass Warrior.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Yolanda\u2019s post comes after Hadid gave fans a health update of her own earlier this week, when she shared <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DOtNQJ5jf74\/?img_index=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:a series of photos on Instagram;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">a series of photos on Instagram<\/a> of her recent hospital stay. Included in the Instagram post is a photo of Hadid with tears in her eyes as she lies in her hospital bed, as well as pictures of her with medical tubes and a crocheted angel on her pillow. Other photos show Hadid eating pizza while watching Netflix, playing games with loved ones and crouched down on an elevator floor. The Orebella founder was 16 years old at the time of her diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Hadid previously updated fans about her battle with Lyme disease in 2023, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cvmz8ilAcxx\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=3250bc35-e9b3-4eea-8eea-e21168eb0d0c\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:when she declared herself;cpos:3;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">when she declared herself<\/a> \u201cfinally healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cLiving in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can\u2019t really explain,\u201d she wrote on Instagram in August 2023. \u201cTo be that sad and sick with the most blessings\/privilege\/opportunity\/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever. \u2026 If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I\u2019m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Lyme disease is a bacterial illness that people can contract if they are bitten by a blacklegged tick, according to <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/lyme\/about\/index.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention;cpos:4;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>. Symptoms typically include fatigue, fever, headache, joint stiffness and muscle aches and pains.
