{"id":237733,"date":"2025-09-19T01:23:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T01:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/237733\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T01:23:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T01:23:09","slug":"a-local-nonprofit-organization-is-donating-75-free-books-to-first-year-teachers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/237733\/","title":{"rendered":"A local nonprofit organization is donating 75 free books to first year teachers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kennewick, wash \u2014 If you are a first year teacher , you could qualify for 75 free books. <\/p>\n<p>The Children&#8217;s Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia offers a program called &#8221; First Year Teacher Library.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s for all first year teachers in Benton and Franklin Counties who teach from first  to third grade. <\/p>\n<p>The program provides 75 books with a total value of $250. <\/p>\n<p>&#8221; Yeah I was once a first year teacher. I started teaching in a kindergarten classroom. And you know, you walk into the classroom, it&#8217;s pretty blank, and you want to make it inviting for kids. You want to make it colorful, attractive, make it a space here they feel comfortable , welcomed, excited to learn. So , I first hand , know how hard it is to start developing that library again.
