Give the Miami Dolphins credit. When it looked like things might go off the rails, they responded impressively. After a late touchdown drive, the Dolphins and Bills are tied 14-14.<\/p>\n
The Dolphins (0-2) got off to about as good of a start as they could have asked for, taking advantage of a long return on the opening kickoff and polishing off their opening drive with Ollie Gordon II powering into the end zone from the 2-yard line.<\/p>\n
Then Josh Allen directed two consecutive scoring drives. First, Buffalo answered Miami’s opening-drive touchdown with a touchdown of its own. James Cook led the way down the field before Allen found Dalton Kincaid for a touchdown. After a Miami three-and-out, the hosts cruised down the field again, and this time, Allen found a different tight end \u2014 Jackson Hawes \u2014 for a touchdown. It’s just the second time in Allen’s career that he’s thrown multiple touchdown passes to tight ends in the same half.<\/p>\n
It looked like the Bills (2-0) would start running away with things, but Miami finally got a stop when Bradley Chubb sacked Allen and Matt Prater badly missed a 39-yard field goal.<\/p>\n
Miami mounted a very impressive scoring drive shortly before halftime, powered by three third-down conversions between Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill and one third-and-7 scramble from Tagovailoa, usually not one of his strengths.
