Dubbeldam was <a href=\"https:\/\/archinect.com\/news\/article\/150478026\/sci-arc-appoints-winka-dubbeldam-as-new-director-ceo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">appointed to the position in April<\/a>, replacing Hern\u00e1n D\u00edaz Alonso.<\/p>\n<p>In a message, Dubbeldam pledged to continue to foster a \u201cfuture-focused, rigorous, and solution-oriented culture\u201d at the school, noting that it was \u201cmore important than ever to embody an informed optimism by leveraging technology with care and responding to global challenges with empathy and responsibility.\u201d Earlier this week, we covered news of a <a href=\"https:\/\/archinect.com\/news\/article\/150499556\/sci-arc-exhibition-explores-ways-design-can-shape-wildfire-resilience\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">new exhibition to launch at the school<\/a> exploring ways design can shape wildfire resilience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSCI-Arc has always welcomed the previously untested, operating beyond the limitations of traditional learning,\u201d Dubbeldam added. \u201cI look forward to contributing to this spirit through a research-led and experimental approach \u2014 supporting students as they develop critical tools, ideas, and strategies for a rapidly transforming world.
