{"id":238852,"date":"2025-09-19T12:04:19","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T12:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/238852\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T12:04:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T12:04:19","slug":"fort-worth-police-chase-in-west-7th-district-leads-to-arrest-of-18-year-old-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/238852\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Worth police chase in West 7th district leads to arrest of 18-year-old man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">An 18-year-old driver was arrested in Fort Worth\u2019s West 7th Street Entertainment District this week after he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox4news.com\/video\/1709563\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:crashed into a pickup truck;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">crashed into a pickup truck<\/a> and evaded officers, Fort Worth police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call shortly after midnight Monday in the 2800 block of Bledsoe Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The suspect, Robert McCoy, was driving a woman\u2019s Cadillac without her consent when he \u201crammed a parked vehicle\u201d and he was taken into custody after a short chase, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">McCoy faces charges of evading arrest with a vehicle, aggravated assault against a public servant and interfering with public duties, according to jail records.<\/p>\n<p>Video of crash: Crowd shouts \u2018Oh my God\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Videos shared on social media show a red Cadillac, which police say was driven by McCoy, trying to get out of a parallel parking space and nearly colliding with pedestrians and other vehicles.
