{"id":239444,"date":"2025-09-19T17:32:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T17:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/239444\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T17:32:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T17:32:09","slug":"n-train-stuck-in-manhattan-to-queens-tunnel-causing-n-q-r-w-line-delays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/239444\/","title":{"rendered":"N train stuck in Manhattan-to-Queens tunnel, causing N\/Q\/R\/W line delays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A southbound <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mta.info\/maps\/subway-line-maps\/n-line\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N train<\/a> was stranded in the 60th St. tunnel between Manhattan and Queens for nearly an hour Friday morning after the train failed to draw power from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/01\/25\/exclusive-brooklyn-subway-shove-victim-recounts-dodging-train-third-rail-brush-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the third rail<\/a>, sources told the Daily News.<\/p>\n<p>The train lost power outside of the Queensboro Plaza station around 8:45 a.m. while heading toward Manhattan, with sources saying the 1980s-era <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycsubway.org\/wiki\/R-68_(Westinghouse-Amrail)_--_R-68A_(Kawasaki)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">R68A train<\/a> coasted to a stop after its motors turned off.<\/p>\n<p>The subway was stranded underground for nearly an hour, until crews were able to back it into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/04\/10\/new-elevator-opens-queensboro-plaza-subway-station-upping-accessibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Queensboro Plaza<\/a> to offload passengers.
