The most-anticipated classic rock album of the year is finally here.<\/p>\n
Two months after announcing the re-release of the long-lost 1973 record \u201cBuckingham Nicks,\u201d Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks<\/a>\u2018 ten-track offering officially hit shelves on Friday, Sept. 19.<\/p>\n As expected, the former lovers and bandmates don\u2019t disappoint.<\/p>\n Highlights include the strummy, sublime \u201cCrying In The Night,\u201d dreamy singalong \u201cWithout a Leg to Stand On,\u201d hard-edged rocker \u201cLong Distance Winner,\u201d muscly jam \u201cDon\u2019t Let Me Down Again\u201d and the mystical epic \u201cFrozen Love,\u201d which is allegedly the song that inspired Mick Fleetwood to invite the duo to join Fleetwood Mac.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re so happy this album is getting a second life,\u201d Buckingham shared via Instagram<\/a>. \u201cWe hope you love it.\u201d<\/p>\n And, while Buckingham doesn\u2019t have a tour planned at the moment, the album may gain even more momentum when Stevie Nicks strikes out on her postponed 2025 run.<\/p>\n She\u2019s currently slated to headline at 17 huge venues all over North America from October through December.<\/p>\n That includes gigs at Atlantic City\u2019s Boardwalk Hall<\/a> on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Brooklyn\u2019s Barclays Center<\/a> on Wednesday, Nov. 19.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t wait to get back on the road with you\u2026see you soon,\u201d the 77-year-old wrote on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you\u2019d like to see her live, tickets are available for each and every one of her upcoming concerts.<\/p>\n At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one show was $108 including fees<\/a> on Vivid Seats.<\/p>\n Other shows have seats starting anywhere from $111 to $381 including fees<\/a>.<\/p>\n No word yet on whether or not she\u2019ll bust out a track or two from \u201cBuckingham Nicks\u201d but our fingers are crossed. Earthy, harmonious and full of joy, sorrow and the classic Fleetwood Mac sound we all know and love.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s our quick track-by-track breakdown:<\/p>\n \u201cCrying In The Night\u201d<\/strong> is the album\u2019s endlessly listenable, deceptively simple lead single. We loved Nicks\u2019 euphoric vocals here. Prepare to spin this one on repeat.<\/p>\n \u201cStephanie\u201d<\/strong> slows things down. A mournful yet gorgeous acoustic guitar track that shows off Buckingham\u2019s exquisite picking skills.<\/p>\n \u201cWithout a Leg to Stand On\u201d<\/strong> gets the party started back up. Lindsey handles vocals here until Stevie kicks in for a gorgeous harmony around the 40-second mark. We love the subtle yet effective tempo changes.<\/p>\n \u201cCrystal\u201d<\/strong> might be a perfect song to walk down the aisle to. Measured pacing and baroque instrumentals lead to a yearning duet between our two bandmates. It\u2019s sad, sweet and somehow energetic. Once again, Stevie and Lindsey are operating on another level. <\/p>\n \u201cLong Distance Winner\u201d<\/strong> quirks up the affair. Offbeat sounds accompany Nicks\u2019 powerful vocals at first before, once again, the song reaches higher heights, turning into a swirling, rock and roll ballad that\u2019s somehow reminiscent of Heart and \u201cFreebird.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t Let Me Down Again\u201d<\/strong> could be the blueprint for \u201cNever Going Back Again.\u201d They\u2019re not quite the same but the plucky, playful guitar and vocals certainly share DNA with the \u201cRumours\u201d classic.<\/p>\n \u201cDjango\u201d<\/strong> gives us another break. A lilting, one-minute, acoustic respite that sneaks up on you once the mournful strings kick in. <\/p>\n \u201cRaces Are Run\u201d<\/strong> puts us back on track when Nicks\u2019 warm voice warbles over pitter-patter percussions. We argue this one sounds romantic yet far from saccharine. All we know is that we feel the love when the duo belts \u201cRaces are run, some people win\/Some people always have to lose.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cLola (My Love)\u201d<\/strong> finds Buckingham in Joe Walsh country-fried rock territory. Showy wah-wah guitars, yelping vocals and an attitude make for one of the record\u2019s most distinct tunes.<\/p>\n \u201cFrozen Love\u201d<\/strong> has history tied to it. As noted above, this is the song that drew Fleetwood to Nicks and Buckingham. One needn\u2019t have to wonder too much what he saw in the seven-minute epic.
