Audible Theater’s latest offering, Mexodus<\/a>, opened Off-Broadway at the\u00a0Minetta Lane Theater September 18, and the reviews are rolling in!<\/p>\n

Running through October 18, David Mendiz\u00e1bal is directing the musical, written and performed by Brian Quijada and Nygel D. Robinson.\u00a0The work looks to uncover the stories behind overlooked portions of the Underground Railroad that led into Mexico, with both Quijada and Robinson also performing in the “live-looping” musical.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The play is making its New York debut after three earlier stagings, at Baltimore Center Stage, Washington, D.C’s Mosaic Theater Company, and California’s Berkeley Repertory Theatre. The piece also got a developmental staging at New York Stage and Film. The play will be recorded for release as an Audible Original during the Off-Broadway run.<\/p>\n
