\n\tFormer Tonight Show host Jay Leno<\/a> has added his voice to those supporting Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> following the latter\u2019s indefinite suspension by ABC.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m on Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s side on that one,\u201d Leno told reporters yesterday at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for Chris Wallace. \u201cI\u2019m a huge proponent of free speech. Please. I\u2019m on Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s side.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel was suspended following comments he made about the Charlie Kirk shooting<\/a> during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue Monday.<\/p>\n

\n\tLeno and Kimmel haven\u2019t always seen eye to eye. In 2010, Kimmel was a guest on Leno\u2019s Tonight and mocked the host for returning to Tonight after his replacement, Conan O\u2019Brien, resigned. O\u2019Brien had rejected a plan by NBC to move Tonight to 12:05 a.m. in order to make room for a new Leno show at 11:35 p.m.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring Kimmel\u2019s 2010 appearance with Leno, he was asked about his best prank ever. Kimmel said, \u201cI told a guy that five years from now I\u2019m going to give you my show, and then when the five years came, I gave it to him, and then I took it back almost instantly.\u201d Leno later said he felt humiliated by Kimmel\u2019s jibe.<\/p>\n

\n\tYesterday, though, Leno was back on Team Kimmel. \u201cYou don\u2019t get canceled saying popular things,\u201d Leno said. \u201cUsually, it\u2019s the truth that winds up getting canceled, so we\u2019ll see what happens.\u201d He added, \u201cJimmy will land on his feet. He\u2019s a talented guy. He\u2019s funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI enjoy Jimmy,\u201d he continued. \u201cI like all the guys. I think they\u2019re really talented. I like jokes. That\u2019s why I watch them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLeno is just the latest late night (or former late night) host to voice support for Kimmel, following similar statements made by Jimmy Fallon<\/a>, Stephen Colbert<\/a>, Jon Stewart<\/a> and David Letterman<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
