Yasmine Petty loves the wide-open layout and sleek pocket doors of her penthouse, but she clearly loves the terrace the most. Soon after moving into the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath at 60 West 20th<\/a>, the model<\/a> says she shut down traffic on Sixth Avenue so a crane could lift a reflecting pool and fountain with blue-and-white zellige tiling. Ferns, evergreens, lounge chairs, and a cabana followed. The mood was, per Petty, Marrakech takes Chelsea. Mariano Vivanco shot there for Dolce & Gabbana\u2019s Uomini<\/a>. Sex and the City asked about using it too. And now it\u2019s up for grabs: The penthouse went on the market this week<\/a> for $11,995,000. The listing calls it Penthouse Jardin D\u2019eau, or \u201cWater Garden Penthouse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Petty had actually been touring a different apartment in the building when she spotted the 3,600-square-foot terrace from the shared rooftop: \u201cI was like, \u2018Holy smoke, what is that?\u2019\u201d As for the rest of the apartment, it\u2019s what you\u2019d expect from a Manhattan penthouse these days: plenty of white marble and white oak floors spread out across more than 2,500 square feet. The primary suite has a spa bathroom, plus a dressing area and a walk-in closet bigger than the average New York bedroom. (Very model of her.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no one they could hire that put the amount of work and effort into making this place perfect,\u201d Petty says. The process of renovating the penthouse seems to have gotten her into interior design. She says she\u2019s working with other clients but declined to specify beyond \u201cinternational\u201d and \u201chigh net-worth individuals.\u201d \u201cI see this as a portfolio piece,\u201d she says.\u00a0\u201dI was the general contractor on it. I was sleeping here when there was dust everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Eklund-Gomes team at Douglas Elliman has the listing<\/a> with an assist from Petty. There\u2019s a StreetEasy link to the apartment in Petty\u2019s Instagram bio<\/a> (444,000 followers), and she is more than happy to talk to reporters about the space she has renovated, by her count, at least four times. \u201cWhoever gets this house is extremely lucky,\u201d Petty says. \u201cI have a fine eye for detail.\u201d<\/p>\n
